My Role: Co-Founder, Product Design
Icebear Job Assistant is a job efficiency tool under Icebear. It was launched in the Chrome Web Store in 2016 and the desktop client was launched in 2019. It provided one-click auto filling of online job application and drag-and-drop filling of personalized questions.
In the competitive landscape of campus recruitment, our research revealed:
I aimed to create a tool that integrates smoothly with various company application pages.
The client wraps these application pages, so I used dark colors for the client navigation (A) to distinguish it from the online pages. The plug-in (C1) appears only on the application pages and needs to stand out, so I used the brand's eye-catching yellow. To minimize interference after form submission, I designed a mini mode (C2) to easily hide the plug-in.
We have summarized, sorted and deduplicated the online application information of hundreds of well-known companies. Extracted 11 categories, 147 fill-in items such as "basic information", "work experience", "project experience", "certificates obtained", etc. And marked the "low frequency" options for users to choose to fill in.
For basic information, almost every company can be reused. We have realized automatic identification of filling items, can intelligently synchronize the answers in the question bank, and fill in 1 second.
Open-ended questions are part of the non-flash fillable part, and I designed a drag-and-drop filling method for user operation.
Outside of filling efficiency, users will also be distressed about how to answer the questions. So we also provide users with common questions and problem-solving ideas in the "Question Bank".
